What is the circular economy?

The concept of the circular economy consists of producing goods and services in a sustainable way by limiting the consumption and waste of resources and the production of waste. This model is based on the creation of positive value loops with each use or reuse of the material or product before final destruction.

The pattern of production and consumption that has prevailed since the industrial revolution is based on abundant natural resources. However, our consumer society is now finding its limits in the face of environmental challenges, employment, and the increase in the world population which is expected to keep growing.  Moreover, our withdrawals from natural resources already greatly exceed the earth's biocapacity. Reducing the impact of the current development model only postpones the deadline, therefore we believe here at Livin Farms that it is time to tackle the issue with a more ambitious approach.

Our solutions help companies with low-value side streams from feed or food production to eliminate their waste and upcycle it into high-value protein feeds and fertilizers.  By doing so the loop of production and consumption is closed.
