We would like to invite you to join us in the Food's Future Summit 2018 in Hong Kong. It's a two-day Summit which includes keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops in the discussion of solutions to sustainable food's future. Summit attendees will be able to have more intimate discussions and hands-on experiences in a wide range of intersting topics imminent to our food's future and lead by experts and warriors.

The Panel Workshop:

Our founder Katharina Unger will join the panel workshop with Sonalie Figueiras, the CEO of Green Queen & Ekowarehouse for the topic "The Future of Protein" 

"With the livestock industry responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than all the world's cars, trains, ships and plans put together and scientists asserting that 'reducing meat consumption is the single biggest way to reduce your impact on Earth,' the future of food will certainly involve alternatives to animal protein. Across the globe, food tech companies are developing groundbreaking plant-based food products that mimic the taste and texture of animal foods, think eggs made from mung beans, beef burgers made from wheat starch, pork made from peas and shrimp made from algae.

But not everyone is sold. In this thought-provoking panel, Green Queen's Sonalie Figueiras will explore the controversy surrounding these game-changing products: Are they healthy? Are they ethical? Can they convert die-hard meat-eaters? Why are some vegans up in arms about them?"

We would like to invite you to join us in the Domaine de Boisbuchet Summer Workshops 2018. It's a workshop concerning future food and you can learn how to design object concerning a healthier food system, innovative products in the food and agriculture tech space and learn more about future food such as insects, fungi and more.

The Workshop:

Our founder Katharina Unger will be presenting the topic "Beyond Food: Exploring alternative food scenarios" in the workshop.

Our food system is complex, sometimes inefficient and resource-intense. The only ones who can really impact such a large system are the players within it: the people. It is people that grow food or process foods. It is people who transport food or create stories and recipes about it. And it is people who ultimately choose a product and bring it onto their kitchen tables. The workshop is taking a human-centred approach to designing solutions around food that have the potential to have impact on a systems level.

Food Carnival 2018

It is our pleasure to invite you to join the Food Carnival 2018 organized by FOOD-CO.
FOOD-CO is Hong Kong's first all-rounded collaborative platform for food support service. In this event, participants can make their own delicacies using surplus food and take part in various interactive games to "Save & Share" the food and care for the people in need. Livin Farms will join the event and set up booth with games and mealworms to promote sustainability and healthy food diet! Come and find us at our booth!
